How to Subscribe to 1840 Farm
Thank you for being a member of The 1840 Farm Community. We hope that you’ve always felt welcome at 1840 Farm and that you feel as warmly about us as we do about you. We’ve been working on something new for the past few months and have decided to give you a sneak peek.
In 2022, we’re going to create more of the content you’ve come to love and a new way to share it with you. We want to build a more robust community together without algorithms following us around and deciding what we see and how we can interact with each other.
We’d like to invite you to become a Farmhouse Friend with a monthly or annual subscription and join in that journey. We’ll have exclusive content that subscribers will see first along with opportunities for you to become a more active part of 1840 Farm. Subscribers will be able to follow along as I remodel the farmhouse kitchen and share my DIY successes and failures along the way.
We’ll also encourage our subscribers to become recipe testers so that they can help us to improve new and existing recipes. Our recipe testers will see recipes that haven’t been shared anywhere else. We’ll incorporate their ideas and feedback into the published recipes and let them help decide which photos we use to illustrate them. Those recipes will be used to fill our monthly newsletters and the pages of our print editions of The Notebook which will take shape in 2022.
We hope that our new paid subscriptions will allow us to continue creating great content to share with you and help cover the increasing costs of supporting our blog. Don’t worry, subscriber or not, you’ll always be welcome at 1840 Farm and we’ll have plenty of recipes and ideas to share with you as a FREE member of The 1840 Farm Community.

Love you all and Penny Lane and your site. But your subscription rate is in my opinion waaayyy too high. So I will not be subscribing. 😢
I am happy that you enjoy following along. I’m sorry that you don’t feel that our content is worthy of a subscription. We purposely created four different levels so that everyone could choose the one that was best for them. The lowest level is absolutely free followed by $2 per month and then $5 per month which can be subscribed to annually to lower the price to around $4 per month. We hoped that these levels would provide something for everyone while helping to cover the costs of supporting our blog and creating new content to share.
Again, I’m sorry that you found our rates to be too high. I hope that you’ll join the free subscription level or continue to follow along through social media.
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy being a menber of this site. It is my happy place to go to when I have sad desk days. I always find comething that makes me happy to go home and get in my kitchen.
In a world where we pay 6.00 for a cup if coffee, the money I spend here is well worth it in my opinion.
