Farmhouse Friends see our new recipes at least two weeks before we share them with the public or post about them on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. We're working to create a library of our subscriber exclusive recipes so that they can view them on a computer, tablet, or phone or print them in magazine style. We also ask them to vote for the next recipes to be worked on so that we can focus on the recipes you’re most excited to see.
Farmhouse Friends are also invited to become a Farmhouse Kitchen Recipe Tester. Our testers will receive a top-secret recipe to test and we’ll ask them to let us know what they think of the instructions, how easy it was to follow along, and what they think of the dish. We’ll incorporate our tester’s suggestions and ideas into the final recipe and might even share your photo and comments (with permission and credit, of course) in print, online, and through social media.
As a Farmhouse Friend, you’ll also have the chance to see our newest items from The 1840 Farm Mercantile Shop before we add them to our general inventory. If you see something you love, you’ll be able to add it to your cart and place your order. You’ll even see brand new items including magazines, tea towels, and art prints that we’re working on before we mention them anywhere else.
In the coming months, we’re going to invite you inside the farmhouse to follow along as we remodel the farmhouse kitchen and work on other DIY projects. I’m the foreman on this job and I’ll be choosing appliances, repairing cabinets, installing new electrical outlets and fixtures, and replacing the kitchen sink, faucet, and countertops. It’s a big project and I can’t wait to get started so that I can share my successes and failures with you along the way.
