Here’s what we’re working on in the 1840 Farm Studio. Click on a photo to enlarge.
When I asked this morning if you would like to see a Halloween Collection added to our shop, you responded with an enthusiastic yes. I think that this is a pretty good start, don't you?
Our Halloween Collection will start to take shape this afternoon. I can't wait to start filling our shop with baskets in these beautiful fabrics. Now, if I could just decide what sizes and shapes to make first!
I just added Small Egg Basket #0533 to our shop. This is the first basket I have made in this combination of fabrics. I love it! What do you think? www.1840farm.etsy.com
I am spending my Sunday morning working with pink gingham and polka dots. Watching these cheery fabrics go around and around is a lovely way to start the day!
Thanks to vigorous holiday sales, our Etsy Shop is completely sold out of our fabric wrapped baskets! I'll be spending a few hours at the sewing machine today so that we can start filling the shop up with baskets in a range of sizes, shapes, and colors.
After this morning's bright pink basket, I thought that we'd make something in muted tones. I love this purple, blue, and grey combination, don't you?
Small Table Basket #0454 was just added to our shop. I love this combination of marine blue, cinnamon, tan, and cream. I hope that you like it as much as I do! https://www.etsy.com/listing/205782481/small-table-basket-0454
This beautiful Large Tote Basket is in the works at my sewing machine this morning. I love the bright punch of color that the blue fabric brings to this basket. Stay tuned for photos of the finished tote!
There's something so lovely about how this combination of fabric and thread came together. The salmon colored fiddlehad spiral is tough to beat! You can get a closer look through the link to our shop right on our profile. #farmhousestyle #basket #fabri
This combination of fabrics is shaping up to be even more beautiful than I had hoped. I just love how this basket is coming together, don't you?
Yesterday's basket turned out even better than I had hoped. I might need to make a few more in this fabric combination for our shop, don't you think?
This color combination had been very popular this week. I better make another basket!
I am at the sewing machine stitching up several Farmhouse Style Mason Jar Vase Kits this morning. They'll be coming to the shop this week in a rainbow of colors, so stay tuned!
And then there were six! Our 1840 Farmhouse Style Fall Placesetting Table Basket Set is finished. I hope that you'll love this set as much as I do!
I am hoping to spend some quality time at the sewing machine this morning. When I do, I'll be sure to share plenty of photos with you. I hope that you're ready for a steady stream of fabric baskets in your newsfeed. But first, coffee and a few thank yo
I am stitching up a few items to add to our Etsy Shop for the weekend. This Market Tote Basket seems to be getting prettier with each turn at the machine! #fabric #thread #sew #handmade
Remember the purple tote basket I was working on earlier? Here it is all finished and full of purples in all sorts of colors and patterns. The photo doesn't do justice to the scale of this Large Market Tote Basket. This basket is over eight inches tall
Take a look at what's first in line at the sewing machine this morning. Isn't this a lovely combination of fabrics?
I am putting the finishing touches on the Etsy listings for our new Farmhouse Style Mason Jar Vase Kits. These will be ready to ship next week, so stay tuned for more information and links to the listings!
Today's basket is a beauty if I do say so myself!
Oh, the delightful promise of a new fabric combination! This is the first time we have used this combination of fabrics. After stitching them together for a few minutes, I can't believe that we haven't worked with them before. They're just beautiful toge
This color combination was very popular last weekend. Baskets were selling before I could even finish them! So, let's start this weekend off in the same way as last weekend. Here's what I'm working on at the sewing machine right now...
Since opening The 1840 Farm Mercantile Shop on Etsy, we've mailed out more than 425 orders. It's hard to believe that we've sent more than 500 baskets and other items to customers in the U.S., Canada, Alaska, and Australia. Yet here I sit, writing a han
I just added 1840 Farm Gift Certificates to our shop. Thanks to your input, I included an option to select fabric or twine to be used when making each certificate. We can make these in any denomination and take the guesswork out of choosing a gift for s
A few of our most popular product ideas have been generated by our 1840 Farm Community. You asked for fabric trivets and coasters and they have been a hit with our customers. Then you asked for a basket that had longer handles to be carried over your wr
Yesterday, I asked if you were ready for our Holiday Collection to start filling up The 1840 Farm Mercantile Shop on Etsy. You answered with a resounding yes. So, here I am settled in at the sewing machine stitching up baskets to do just that. Stay tuned
I am applying discounts to every item from our Berry Collection in our Etsy Shop. We need to make room for the Fall Collection to join the shop later this week. Quantities are limited, but all of the fabric and paper items are on sale through Wednesday.
A member of our 1840 Farm Community named this style of basket for us. Serendipity seems like the perfect way to describe this lovely combination of random colors and patterns. I hope that you like it as much as I do because it is destined for our Etsy Sh
We're in for another gloomy day outside, but my view at the sewing machine is especially lovely this morning!
It's been a busy day in the studio. I stitched two egg baskets, put together six Mason jar vase kits, and made fourteen wine sleeves for our Etsy shop. Now it's time to head into the farmhouse kitchen and make a batch of spaghetti and meatballs for family
Remember the Medium Egg Basket I made earlier today in bold primary colors? I just added it to our shop. I love this combination of bold, bright colors. They're seasonless. I find it hard not to smile when looking at these fabrics twirled together
This is a lovely way to begin my Friday morning!
How about a little patchwork blue basket to start the day?
This seems like a good place to start my day. I love how these fabrics look together already, don't you?
Slightly different, but every bit as lovely as the fabrics I was working with earlier this morning.
I think that we'll get today started with a Puppy Love Basket. Penny Lane seems to like the idea of sending another donation on its way to The Animal Welfare Society that rescued her and so do I! #1840farm #farmhousestyle #farmhousedog #fabric #basket #s
You have kept me very busy this week stitching up baskets and delivering orders to the post office. Thank you! I have made right new baskets in that past five days an only one of them is still available in our shop! Two of them were claimed before I h
Yesterday, I spent the afternoon stitching up Valentine's Day Heart Shaped Baskets. These two are ready to send on their journey to their new homes. With any luck, I can stitch up a few more today to join them! #1840farm #farmhousestyle #fabric #heart #b
Another patchwork basket is in the works.
