A Year of Gratitude – February 4, 2024

Today I found myself filled with gratitude for a day spent making things. My heart and soul are happiest when I am creating things and today was one of those glorious days.

Even better, I was creating things with my daughter. We spent hours knitting and talking while the sunshine streamed in the front windows of the farmhouse. It was the loveliest way to spend my day.

Sometimes the small things are really the most important ones. It was just a day spent at home together. We were in our pajamas. Penny Lane was snoring on the couch beside us.

While that might not seem notable to many, these are the sort of days that I would like to bottle up and hold on to forever. Time spent together is the very best sort of time. You can do nothing with someone you care about and have it mean everything to you because the joy is simply about being together.

I am grateful that I was able to have that sort of day, the kind filled with laughter and sharing, the sort where time passes too quickly and yet stands still. How lucky I was to be a part of it.

I hope that your day was filled with beauty and simple pleasures. Mine certainly was.
