A Year of Gratitude – October 4, 2024

I found a bright purple reason for gratitude today. These colorful asters are blooming in my mom’s garden. They’re so vibrant and welcome this time of year.

So much of the garden is finished for the year. Many of the plants have already been cut back for winter. Leaves are falling from the trees, gathering on the ground to make a carpet in red and gold.

These purple asters seem so bright and cheery against the fall landscape. Just looking at them brightened my day and gave me a reason to see that there’s always something bright and beautiful to find, to enjoy.

Today, it happened to be these purple blooms. Tomorrow? Well, I’ll just have to keep my eyes open until I find it. I’m sure that I will.
