A Year of Gratitude – June 27, 2024
I found my gratitude in raindrops today. They fell off and on throughout the day. They watered the garden and made the leaves heavy.
There’s something marvelous about these little orbs of water clinging to the leaves. There is a tiny universe in each drop. Each one is filled with possibility, with the promise of something good to come.
Our days are filled with those things too, but we often forget as we go about all of the need to do tasks. It’s easy to focus on the things we need to do and forget that we also need to take a moment to be filled with wonder when something amazing is presented to us.
There’s power in being awestruck by the ordinary. Most of life is ordinary and yet also worthy of captivating our attention. Just like these raindrops, each ordinary moment is filled with possibility.
