A Year of Gratitude – November 23, 2024

I shared with you yesterday that I found my gratitude baking in the farmhouse kitchen with my daughter. We made Italian Rainbow Cookies, a new recipe for us to try. By the end of the afternoon, we had red, white, and green layers filled with sweet jam and covered in chocolate.

Today, I will admit that I find my gratitude in helping myself to a square of these colorful cookies. We sat down as a family and enjoyed them with tea and coffee. It was such a warm, carefree moment.

As much as I loved the cookies, which were delicious, it was the company I loved more. Time is so fleeting, and I feel so lucky to be able to spend time with my family, to enjoy them in this moment and to be present enough to realize it.

Today, I had that chance, and I was so incredibly thankful for it.
