A Year of Gratitude – November 13, 2024

I shared a photo of this pretty striped petunia with you three weeks ago. When I did, I mentioned that I thought these blooms would be gone in just a few days. It stood to reason given the date.

I don’t ever remember seeing bright flowers in bloom this late in the season here on the farm. Our weather has been warm and even the evening temperatures near freezing haven’t stopped this little plant from blooming.

I just might dig up this plant and bring it inside the farmhouse for the winter. It’s such a cheery color and has brought me so much joy this summer. I’d love to enjoy these pretty blooms just a bit longer.

This time, when I mention that I don’t expect that this plant will be blooming outside much longer, it’s because I’m going to bring it indoors. Perhaps I can keep it blooming just a little longer no matter what the weather does outside.
