A Year of Gratitude – October 22, 2024

We were treated to a glorious day of weather today. The sun was bright and warm. The temperature reached nearly 80 degrees.

It was nice enough to go for a long midday stroll with Penny Lane. That’s reason enough for gratitude as far as I am concerned. It was just nice to be outside in the sunshine, walking along as leaves crunched underfoot.

When we came back home, we rounded the corner of the barn to discover this beautiful foxglove had set forth another round of blooms. They’re just so fascinating in shape, color, and pattern.

What a lovely surprise it was to see these flowers bathed in sunshine. Soon this space will be covered in snow, but not today. I’m so glad that I was able to see it, to have one more day of gardening season.
