A Year of Gratitude – October 13, 2024

I found a reason for gratitude in hope today. It’s probably no surprise that it was waiting for me in the garden.

These zinnias just won’t quit. They refuse to. They seem completely unfazed by how late in the season it is. They seem unaware, or perhaps unaffected, by the date on the calendar.

They just keep trying to set forth beautiful, colorful blooms for us to enjoy. I have hope that we’ll see at least a few more. And if the weather and season don’t allow it, I’ll be thankful that they gave me a reason to have hope in my heart.
