A Year of Gratitude – August 12, 2024

I found my gratitude in a reminder from nature today. Small things can become something grand. They can evolve into something magical.

Just look at this hydrangea bloom. The tiny blue flowers are lovely on their own. I see so much beauty in them. They are delicate and colorful, so pretty.

And then they transform into a bold and gorgeous fuchsia colored bloom. They don’t even seem like they could be on the same plant, much less be born from one another.

Yet they are.  Sometimes, something small and dainty, something subdued even, becomes something bold and loud. That is the case with this flower and it can be the case in other places, in people. We all need the space and time to become who we are meant to be. And then we need the freedom to begin evolving into the next version of ourselves.
