Place the sweet potatoes, salt, and bone broth in the bowl of the Instant Pot. Turn the valve to “sealing” and secure the lid. Select the manual setting and cook at high pressure for 8 minutes.
When the cooking time has elapsed, allow the pressure to naturally dissipate for approximately 15 minutes. Flip the vent to “venting” to release any remaining pressure and take care to avoid the steam.
Add the butter and mash the sweet potatoes with a spoon or potato masher until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add a bit of bone broth or stock if needed to achieve the desired consistency. Serve and enjoy!
