The Daily Meal’s 101 Best Restaurants in 2013

When The Daily Meal asked me to be one of the voting panelists for their 101 Best Restaurants in America for 2013, I didn’t have to think twice.  We started with just over 300 restaurants before paring the list down to the final 101.

The list is a wonderful collection of restaurants from around the country.  I love the fact that the list includes fine dining spots alongside barbecue joints and pizza places.  This is a list all about the places that we love to eat, no matter what type of cuisine they serve. White table cloths and beautiful china were  not required to claim a spot.

I was thrilled to see regional favorite Fore Street made the list.  If you ever find yourself in Portland, Maine, make time to stop in.  The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food is fantastic.  Their artisan bread is legendary, coming from their own Standard Baking Co.

You can view the entire list of the 101 Best Restaurants in America for 2013 on The Daily Meal.  You can also see the list of 174 panelists who cast their votes this year.  I am honored to see my name listed in such fantastic company.

So, now I want to invite you to share your favorite restaurant with me.  What is your favorite restaurant?
