It’s officially m
aple sugaring season here at 1840 Farm. The trees are tapped and the buckets are filling one precious drop at a time.
We were thrilled to collect two gallons of beautiful sap today in under five hours. Here’s hoping that tomorrow will bring more warm sunshine and full sap buckets on all four of our maple trees. Mother Nature, we’d love a few weeks of cooperative weather if it isn’t too much trouble!

When I was a kid, my Dad used to take me to gather the sap, then to the sugar shack to watch it boil down and (most importantly) sample the syrup. Those were wonderful memories. You are very lucky!

Thanks so much for sharing!
